Vaquera House

I had the most amazing experience at Vaquera House! I stayed five nights and it was the perfect place to stay in Crested Butte. It was such an elevated and comfortable experience, the breakfast was divine and the homemade granola by Erin was to die for! The rooms were clean, extremely comfortable and cozy. I’ve never had a better sleep at a hotel. The communal spaces were also very cozy and welcomed great conversations and good energy. I’ll be staying here over and over again! It’s truly the best hotel + social space to stay in when visiting crested butte in any season!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vaquero House. The balcony hot tub was lovely and the food was outstanding! We played pool, sat by the fire and enjoyed yummy drinks and appetizers in the evenings, followed by s’mores by the fire pit! Erinn made us feel so welcomed and relaxed. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere in town too. We highly recommend a vacation here!

My wife and I stayed at Vaquera House in Colorado and absolutely loved it. The views are breathtaking, the hospitality truly makes you feel at home, and the hot tub overlooking the mountains is unforgettable. Breakfasts were wonderful, après-ski was cozy and fun, and ending the day by the open fire with s’mores was pure magic. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Vaquera House was exceptional — truly no detail was left unturned. It was the perfect vacation for our group of five friends, from the chef-prepared breakfasts (eggs to order, waffle hash browns, Erinn’s homemade granola and more) to the après-ski happy hour just outside the lobby, to soaking in the outdoor hot tub while watching a stunning Crested Butte sunset. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the one-block walk to the shuttle made getting on the mountain easy. With town just steps away, we never needed a shuttle for anything else. I can’t recommend Vaquera House enough for families, groups, or couples — an outstanding boutique inn.

My husband and I stayed at Vaquera House for our ski trip and absolutely loved it. The hot tub with mountain views was the perfect way to unwind after skiing, and having the ski shuttle right on the corner made getting to the slopes so easy. The staff was amazing—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind—and the breakfasts were delicious every morning. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back.

We had the most incredible stay at Vaquera House for a long-weekend getaway / ski trip. Everything from top to bottom was so well thought out — the attention to detail and personal touch by the staff was outstanding. They were incredibly attentive, personable, and helpful, and truly went out of their way to make our stay feel like we were right at home. The hotel itself is stunning — so cozy, unique, and beautifully designed. The rooms were wonderful as well, with an incredibly comfortable bed, a spacious closet, and a stunning bathroom with a waterfall shower. The breakfast and après were such a special addition to our stay and really made it one-of-a-kind. Delicious food, drinks, and s’mores by the fire every day. We came to ski, and the hotel had a storage room for our boots and an outside (locked) storage space for our skis. We were so excited to come “home” to a hot tub and après every afternoon. Not to mention the view from the hotel is incredible, and the location is perfect — right in town and walkable to everything (including the bus stop for heading up to the mountain!). I could not recommend this place more, and I cannot wait to return. Truly a 12/10 experience!

Wonderful experience every time. Home away from home. Erinn, Jordan, and the entire staff are amazing, they make you feel welcome from the moment you step into their lodge. Breakfast menu is amazing, healthy, and delicious, so are their energy drinks they offer each morning. Highly recommend trying Erinn’s homemade (gluten free) coconut-flake granola. I am always so sad to leave, and count down the days to my next visit.

I’ve need coming to the Rockies to ski yearly for over two decades and I can easily say Vaquero House was one the very best lodging experiences we had. The house is beautiful, well equipped, super clean, the room is comfortable with great quality cotton sheets and large towels, the amenities are abundant and high quality, just like it should be in a high quality hotel. But then, there is the part no branded hotel would have. A personal, warm, caring service. The staff treats you like you are the a guest of honor. Super accommodating (they make a special vegan menu for us for breakfast), you really feel like you are in your second home — with service, I’ll definetly stay there again — not only if I’m in Cresteed Butte but I may choose crested butte over other places I like such as Telluride just to stay at VH! Erinn the manager puts her soul in this place — and you can feel it.
